How to succeed: hitting rock bottom

So true.

On Saturday I had a major meltdown. I asked hubby to measure my flexion and it was the same as it had been for the previous 2 weeks despite crying with pain to get as much bend as I could. I screamed, cried, the works. He disappeared and left me alone.

While he was out I took myself to work, sat on the spin bike for 40 mins (at my normal seat height) with no resistance, then did 3x 20 step ups and 3x 20 lunges (both ways round.)

When I got home I asked him to measure it again. 5 degrees more than earlier in the day.

I’m still not amused, I still wanted more than I was able to achieve, but I picked my ass up and went and worked it some more.

Keep smiling, keep trucking forwards and rejoice in each day’s tiny triumphs regardless of what else happened.
